Councillor Fred Clipsham is serving his sixth term on Regina City Council, representing the residents of Ward 3 which includes several inner-city communities. He was born in Regina and has lived here most of his life. Trained as an economist, Councillor Clipsham has worked as a writer on Saskatchewan business issues and of videos on important social issues.
Councillor Clipsham serves on the Boards of many community and environmental organizations, including Circle Project, the Cathedral Area Community Association, the Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council, the Saskatchewan Waste Electronic Equipment Program and the Saskatchewan Paint Stewardship Advisory Committee. He is the Chair of WUQWATR, a group implementing the source water protection plan in the Wascana Creek and Upper Qu'Appelle watersheds. He serves on the Board of the Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency, representing the four largest cities, and the Board of the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association, where he is Vice-President of Cities and chair of the Environment Committee.
