Household Hazardous Waste Day
Don't let household hazardous waste take up space in your home or cause a potential danger to the environment. Corrosive cleaners, solvents, adhesives, and garden pesticides are just some of the products we use to take care of our homes but should be disposed of safely.
Gather your items from the accepted items list below and bring to Household Hazardous Waste Day on:
Saturday, August 7th

Accepted Products

Adhesives - contact cement, caulking, sealer, carpet and linoleum adhesives, glue

Aerosols - hair spray, insect repellant, lubricant spray, furniture cleaner
- Automotive - used engine oil, used engine oil filters, antifreeze, carburetor cleaners, oil fuel, windshield cleaner
- Cleaners - oven cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, glass cleaner, spot remover, disinfectants, car wax
- Corrosives - drain cleaner, engine degreaser, ammonia, battery acid, sulfuric acid
- Fuels - gasoline, diesel, kerosene, lamp oil, oil/gas mixture
**No Containers will be returned** - Mercury - mercury, thermometers
- Oxidizers - chlorine, bleach, pool chemicals, fertilizers, hydrogen peroxide, septic tank chemicals
- Poisons - lawn herbicides, garden chemicals, rat poison, gopher killer, insecticides
- Solvents - paint thinner, acetone, varsol, alcohol, benzene, xylene, naphtha

- Safety Detectors - Smoke or Carbon Monozide

Household Hazardous Waste Day is for Regina residents only. No commercial vehicles will be permitted to drop off products.
Envirotec Services Inc. is working with the City of Regina and will be ensuring the safe disposal of all the materials collected.
