Jason Carlston Biography
Jason Carlston is the General Manager of the Planning and Development Division.
Jason was born, raised and educated in Regina. Through the University of Regina, he has obtained degrees in Human Geography, Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Urban Geography.
Jason began his career with the City of Regina as a summer student cutting grass on the Municipal Golf Courses. After completing university and spending a short stint working in the Policy Area of Farm Credit Canada, Jason joined the City full time in 1999 as a Development Control Officer in the Urban Planning Division. In 2000, he moved into the role of Project Planner, within the Policy Section of the Urban Planning Division, a role which he performed for 5 years. During this time, Jason also accepted the Team Leader, Redefining Excellence role with the Core Services Review (CSR). In 2005, Jason was promoted to General Manager, Urban Planning Division. His most recent position was A/Director of the Planning, Building and Bylaw Enforcement Department.
Jason is a born and bred “I Love Regina” guy. He is dedicated and committed to the citizens of our great city. With an eye towards the future, Jason will continue to excel with his enthusiasm and drive to ensure our city succeeds and grows.
