Choose your fare

Owning and operating a vehicle can cost you thousands of dollars a year but taking Regina Transit costs under $700 a year… and that’s not including the money you’ll save by applying for the Federal Tax Credit for transit.

Note: Exact fare is required as bus operators do not carry cash.

Fares Effective June 1, 2010

On February 22, 2010 City Council approved a new fare structure. The table below shows the fares effective on June 1, 2010.

* "Youth" fares apply to riders 5-14 years of age, or high school students with proof of school enrolment or valid Transit ID card. Without proof, adult fares apply.

 **"Child" fares apply to those under 5 years age who are accompanied by a paying passenger; if travelling alone, child must pay youth fare.

*** Post-secondary students can only purchase their pass from certain post-secondary institutions or at the Regina Transit Information Centre. Post-secondary students must show valid Student ID at time of purchase.

****"Senior" fares apply to those who are 65 years of age or older and are a resident of Regina.

Information about pass programs

  • Day pass
    This pass is good for unlimited travel on any Regina Transit bus after 9 a.m. on any weekday. It’s perfect if you want to see attractions in the Queen City without worrying about parking or traffic!
  • Weekend pass
    This pass allows your family (maximum 2 adults and 3 children who are 18 years or younger) to ride any regular Regina Transit route as much as you like on either a Saturday or a Sunday.
  • Seniors pass
    Seniors 65 and older can purchase a senior's annual or semi-annual bus pass at the Transit Information Centre.
  • Employer pass program
    Annual passes are available for employees who work at businesses participating in the Employer Pass Program.
  • Discounted monthly pass program
    Discounted monthly passes of $20  are available for residents recieving benefits from:
    • Social Assistance
    • Transitional Employment Allowance
    • Saskatchewan Employment Supplement
    • Provincial Training Allowance
    • Saskatchewan Assured Income for Disability
