Read the City's Emergency Plan
The City of Regina has an emergency plan that coordinates the City response to any major emergency or disaster. The plan, which is constantly evolving, goes hand in hand with the Provincial Emergency Program. As soon as the City’s emergency plan is activated the Provincial Emergency Program is notified.
The emergency plan allows the City to activate an Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) that will:
- assist emergency personnel to respond quickly and effectively to potential disasters such as wildfires, major storms, chemical spills, floods, plane crashes, or earthquakes.
- provide a concentrated assessment and decision-making body that can best utilize all available resources, and if necessary, resources from the Provincial and/or Federal Governments.
- provide guidelines for recovery after an emergency.
