Apply for Community Investment Funding (Grants)

City of Regina COMMUNITY INVESTMENTS are defined as:

Financial support, funding, or grants provided to registered non-profit organizations by the City of Regina for Regina-based programs, services, facilities and events.

The City of Regina is committed to providing community investment funding to support community organizations, programs, services, festivals and events that align with the corporate vision and strategic priorities.

The desired outcome of an event or program should align with the City of Regina corporate Vision: Imagine Regina 2020, Canada’s most Vibrant, Inclusive, Attractive City where people live in Harmony and Thrive in Opportunity.

2012 COMMUNITY INVESTMENTS

Program Deadline Funding Available

Hosting Assistance Program funding is available to assist with facility and equipment rental costs associated with hosting a sanctioned championship competition.

December 12, 2011

After the deadline requests are accepted on a first come first served basis.

Provincial - $2,000

Western Canadian –

$4,000

National - $8,000

International - $15,000

Festival Funding Program is available to assist new and established festivals to provide high quality events.

Application Deadline is January 9

Maximum request is 25% of festival budget

Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program funding is for programs that allow participation or skill development for youth at risk, children, persons with a disability, inactive seniors or economically disadvantaged families.

Information Workshop December 15, 2011

Application deadline is January 30.

Maximum request is $10,000 per organization.

Social Development Community Investment Program funding is available to assist with the delivery of social services for individuals and families who are vulnerable and living in Regina. Funding is available to assist agencies with the development and implementation of services that address social needs.

Application deadline is February 6.

Maximum request for project funding is $30,000.

Urban Aboriginal Community Grant Program funding is for arts, culture, recreation and sport programs for aboriginal people living in Regina. Programs should remove barriers to participation, increase skill development, physical activity and provide leadership opportunities.

Information Workshop December 14, 2011.

Application deadline is February 13.

$15,000 per program for programs over 26 weeks.

$10,000 per program for programs less than 26 weeks.

Community Capital Partnership Program funding is for new capital development, renovation projects or purchase of a capital asset required to provide arts, culture, recreation or sport programs in Regina.

Information workshop Dec. 8, 2011

Application deadline is February 27

Maximum request is $10,000, based on a 50-50 cost shared basis.

Civic Arts Funding Program provides funding support to non-profit arts organizations serving the city. The program encourages arts organizations to establish themselves, enhance their services, and provide their programming to the community.

Application deadline is March 15.

 

The Special Event Funding Program was created to address funding requests for events that do not qualify for funding through an existing community investment program.

Funding requests are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Organizations must demonstrate that funding has been secured from other sources prior to requesting City of Regina funding.

Requests are evaluated on an individual basis.
