Importance of Crime Prevention
In 2005, the City of Regina completed its Core Services Review which examined city services to identify its core priorities. The review identified "public safety & security" and "crime prevention" among the top priorities in its core continuum.
Although a high percentage of respondents in the City's 2007 Omnibus Survey feel safe in their neighbourhood, the survey also indicates a high concern about crime rates in Regina.
