Condominium Approval or Conversion

There are 2 types of condominium application forms, Condominium Applications and Residential Condominium Conversion Applications.

The Condominium Application  is for all condo applications with the exception of those involving residential conversions. This includes:

  • new residential and non-residential developments, including previously unoccupied residential buildings, which is a building or a dwelling unit that is not, and has never been, occupied as residential premises.
  • bare land condominiums
  • existing non-residential units

The Residential Condominium Conversion Application   is used when existing residential rental units convert to condominium ownership. This ensures the orderly conversion of residential rental units to condos without causing undue hardship to existing tenants or significantly reducing the availability of rental accommodation.

The application forms contain information about the requirements and criteria for approval, as well as the outline of the application processes.

More information about condominium conversions can be found under Housing in the Residents section.
