Proposed Concept Plan 09-CP-3

Project Description

The proposed concept plan encompasses a total land area of 175.23 hectares (ha), bounded by Highway No. 6 and Highway No. 11 to the north and east; Pasqua Street to the west; and an east-west pipeline corridor to the south. The concept plan area is identified for immediate development in the City's Northwest Sector Plan, which considers the residential area to be an extension of the Argyle Park / Englewood community. The City of Regina has organized an open house for the public to learn more about the development. The open house will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, as a come and go event between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., at the Argyle Park Community Center located at 35 Davin Crescent.

The review process:

The City gathers comments from 'interested parties' including nearby residents or property owners, which it addresses in a report to the Regina Planning Commission.

Generally the role of the Regina Planning Commission is to recommend that City Council approve, usually subject to conditions, or deny the proposal. City Council then considers the recommendation of Regina Planning Commission and approves or denies the proposal.
