Project Description
The applicant proposes to construct a two-storey (with basement, three-level), 920 m2 commercial building on the most northerly portion of an existing property (north of the current Habitat Restore location). The building is intended to accommodate a child day care centre, providing services for between 90 and 100 children ranging from infancy to school age. The proposed facility includes an extensive landscaped play area at the rear of the property and a 16-stall paved parking lot on the front/south side, with 13 stalls assigned for use as drop-off spaces. The subject property is zoned IA1 - Light Industrial. In that zone, child day care centres may be accommodated as a discretionary use. View site plan and drawings of the subject property.
