West Industrial Lands Secondary Plan
In March 2011, the City adopted a land-use plan for the West Industrial Lands area, located west of Courtney Street, adjacent to Dewdney Avenue.
The West Industrial Lands Secondary Plan (WIL Secondary Plan) forms part of the City’s Official Community Plan, and provides policy direction for land-use, development and servicing. Central to the WIL Secondary Plan, is the development of a large-scale logistics park, referred to as the Global Transportation Hub (GTH). The WIL Secondary Plan also identifies areas for heavy industrial development and areas for future development and servicing.
