Group Care Facility
A Group Care Facility is described in Regina Zoning Bylaw No. 9250 as “a supervised residential dwelling unit, licensed or approved under provincial statute, for the accommodation of persons, excluding staff, referred by hospitals, courts, government agencies or recognized social service agencies or health professionals.”
There are 3 types of group care facilities:
- Supported living home
- Individual and family social services home
- Special care home
To apply
Read the Group Care Facilities package and complete the application form contained within. Submit the application form and any other relevant documentation to Urban Planning for approval.
If you are successful
The zoning of your property will not change; the permit will simply allow you to operate the group care facility at your location.
