City of Regina Recognizes National Public Works Week
This National Public Works Week, May 15-21, 2022, the City of Regina recognizes and celebrates public works professionals for their readiness and resilience in service to our community.
“National Public Works Week is a time to recognize the public works professionals that are dedicated to creating and maintaining the infrastructure of Regina - from roads and bridges to water and traffic,” said Kim Onrait, Executive Director, Citizen Services. “Thank you for delivering important services and providing value to our city every day.”
The 2022 theme for National Public Works Week is Ready and Resilient. It acknowledges that public works employees are always ready to serve their communities, and resilient as they work through often adverse conditions and solve problems to maintain infrastructure that keeps our city moving and growing.
Over the past two years, throughout the pandemic, City of Regina public works professionals ensured essential services including water, transit, roadways, and fire protection, operated reliably. Our community’s public spaces – indoors and outdoors – also continued to run safely, thanks to the dedication of these City employees.
The City of Regina is proud to recognize National Public Works Week. The proven readiness and resiliency of public works professionals contributes significantly to the quality of life and well-being of all Regina residents.
