We are aware of a video that has been posted online detailing an incident between a downtown bar owner and one of our Bylaw Enforcement Officers. The safety of our employees is paramount in the work they do on behalf of all Regina residents and that needs to be respected at all times.

Pathway and Bridge closed in A.E. Wilson Park

Construction of the third sewage force main has required closing the pathway and pedestrian bridge in A.E. Wilson Park. This closure will be in place until Wednesday, July 26 depending on weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Proposed Road Closure

The purpose of the proposed closure is to close and sell a portion of the lane to increase the width of the property at 2524 Garnet Street. The portion of lane proposed to be closed is not currently used by the travelling public or service providers and will not impact traffic flow or circulation in the immediate area.

Get the buzz on bugs— Come join the ladybug release in Victoria Park

Almost 300,000 ladybugs will be arriving in our city as part of our environmentally friendly pest control program. We’ll be releasing some in Victoria Park on Thursday, July 13, so come join us and learn about ladybugs. Kids are welcome and they can help us release the insects.

Starting Monday, July 10 crews will begin upgrading traffic signals, replacing sidewalks, curbs and gutters on Pasqua Street between 4th Avenue and 3rd Avenue. Upon completion of that stretch, work will move along 4th Avenue between Pasqua Street and Queen Street.

Sewer Relining Work Begins

The City of Regina has contracted Insituform Technologies Ltd. to complete sewer relining work in our community. See attached map of affected areas. The work started on June 30 and estimated completion date is the end of December 2017.

Residential building permits continue to rise Commercial activity remains strong as well

Building permits issued for June show growth in single family, multi-attached residential, and apartment units, with the total number of permits for new residential dwellings at 114 compared to 78 for the same month last year. The total value of building permits issued since January 2017 is $304.5 million.
