Digging of the Pilot Butte Creek to start today
As part of the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve drainage channels and prevent blockages at storm water outlets, crews will start digging the Pilot Butte Creek channel from Dewdney Avenue to Victoria North Service Road. The work is expected to take 3 weeks, weather permitting.
Failure to maintain the drainage channels can result in flooding both upstream and downstream during spring melts and major storm events.
Excavators will start at Dewdney on Friday, and the trucks will start hauling on Monday. This work will not disrupt traffic, but there will be an increase in the number of dump trucks in the area. The haul route is below for your information.
