Notice of Intention to Amend Regina Zoning Bylaw No. 9250

Notice of intention is hereby given by the City of Regina, pursuant to section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007, for City Council's consideration of a bylaw(s) to amend Regina Zoning Bylaw No. 9250.

The amendment is contained in the proposed Bylaw number 2012-2, and more particularly referred to below.

The proposed amendment may be inspected by any person in the Planning and Sustainability Department, City Hall, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Monday through Friday, all holidays excepted, and up to 4:45 p.m. on Monday, the 23rd of January, 2012

City Council, at its meeting to be held on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in the Henry Baker Hall, Main Floor, City Hall, will consider any submissions respecting the proposed amendment. The City Clerk will, prior to the enactment of the amendment, enquire as to whether any person wishes to be heard by the Council in relation thereto.

If any person wishes to have written submissions available for review by Council members prior to the Council meeting, a copy of the submission should in accordance with the City of Regina Procedure Bylaw be delivered to the Office of the City Clerk prior to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2012

Proposed Bylaw No. 2012-2

Amendment to Regina Zoning Bylaw No. 9250  –  Chapter 9- Special Zone Regulations; Table 9.1 Current Contract Zone Agreements, Chapter 20-Agreements

Consideration is being given to rezone the property as shown on the map published herewith as follows:

Zoning Bylaw and Concept Plan Amendments

Notice of intention is hereby given by the City of Regina, pursuant to section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007, for City Council's consideration of a bylaw to amend Regina Zoning Bylaw No. 9250.

The amendment is contained in the proposed Bylaw number 2012-1 and more particularly referred to below.

In conjunction with the proposed Zoning Bylaw amendments and pursuant to section 44 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007, further notice is given for City Council’s consideration of a minor amendment to the Harbour Landing Concept Plan, also as described below.

The proposed amendments may be inspected by any person in the Planning and Sustainability Department, City Hall, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. on Monday through Friday, all holidays excepted, and up to 4:45 p.m. on Monday, the 23rd day of January, 2012.

Consideration is being given to rezone certain lands within the Harbour Landing Concept Plan area, as shown on the map published herewith as follows:

The proposed concept plan amendment pertains to the proposed Parcel I in Harbour Landing Phase 7A, as further highlighted on the accompanying map, which shall be reclassified from low-density residential to medium-density residential.

Reason: The proposed Zoning Bylaw amendments will accommodate the subdivision and subsequent development of Harbour Landing Phases 7A and 7B, in accordance with the approved concept plan. The minor concept plan amendment will allow for additional medium-density housing on the proposed Parcel I in Phase 7A.
