Downtown Transportation Study Public Open House

The City of Regina is conducting a Downtown Transportation Study and will be holding a public open house on Thursday, March 1 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Centre Court at the Cornwall Centre, 2102 11th Avenue to give residents an opportunity to provide their input.

The City wants to ensure the transportation system is able to respond to current and future needs. The Study has been commissioned to identify and evaluate options to improve conditions for all users including pedestrians, cyclists, transit riders, automobiles and delivery vehicles. It is being conducted in three phases.

Phase 1 will examine the operational challenges and opportunities, identify short term improvements for the 11th and 12th Avenue corridors, and whether to keep City Square plaza pedestrian-only.

Phases 2 & 3 will expand the analysis to include a larger area of downtown and will identify improvements for the short, medium and longer term.

There will be informational panels on display at the open house and consultants will be on hand to take your input.
