Property taxes due on June 29

June 19, 2012

The City of Regina reminds citizens of the deadline for payment of 2012 property taxes. Property tax bills are due June 29 to avoid penalty.

Property owners have a number of ways to pay before the deadline, including at their financial institution, or by using the night deposit box, customer service, or drive-through kiosk at City Hall.

Property tax notices were mailed May 29, 2012. Anyone who has lost or not received a tax notice can contact the City at 777-7000 to have a duplicate notice e-mailed or faxed to them.

Property taxes can be paid at City Hall at the Service Regina desk on the main floor of City Hall weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.; in the night deposit box located on the southeast corner of City Hall or at the drive-through kiosk on McIntyre Street open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
June 27 to 29. Payment is by cheque only and should include the payment stub.

Most banks and credit unions accept property tax payments in person, or through ATM, telephone, or online banking. It is important to check the financial institution’s payment cut-off times to meet the June 29 deadline.
