TIPPS: Tax Installment Payment Plan Service

The Tax Installment Payment Plan Service (TIPPS) allows you to pay your taxes through monthly installments.

To enroll

You can enroll in the program at any time either online through Assessment & Tax eProperty or by written application.

  • Sign up for Assessment & Tax eProperty on MyAccount and register the property you wish to enroll. (Note: You will need the access code on your property tax notice.)  Select Enroll in TIPPS from the side bar menu and follow the instructions.

  • Or, print and complete the TIPPS Application Form, attach a "void" cheque or bank verification form, and:
    • Deliver to the Ambassodors Desk on the main flor of City Hall, or
    • Mail to City of Regina "TIPPS" PO Box 5042 Regina, SK S4P 3M3

For applications to be accepted for January of the upcoming year, the account balance must be paid in full by December 15 of the current year. For plans starting after January 1, the first installment is adjusted so that the tax account has no balance owing at the end of the year. The adjustment amount required, in additon to the monthly payment schedule, is referred to as the "Catch Up" amount.

Date funds are withdrawn

Withdrawals are made on the first business day of each month. Payments are updated when the new mill rate is set. Updated monthly payment amounts will be shown on your annual Property Tax Notice.

Changing your banking information

You can change the bank account used for your TIPPS payment online through Assessment & Tax eProperty or by providing the TIPPS Banking Information Change form to the Property Taxation & Administration Branch. You must include a "void" cheque or banking information form from the new account (line of credit accounts will be rejected by the bank).  

Print and complete the TIPPS Banking Information Change Form, and:

  • Deliver to the Ambassadors Desk on the main floor of City Hall, or
  • Mail to City of Regina "TIPPS", PO Box 5042, Regina, SK, S4P 3M3

Withdrawing from TIPPS

You can withdraw from TIPPS online through Assessment & Tax eProperty or by giving written notice to the Property Taxation & Administration Branch up to three business days prior to the next scheduled payment. Print and complete the TIPPS Cancellation Form, and:

  • Deliver to the Ambassadors Desk on the main floor of City Hall, or
  • Mail to City of Regina "TIPPS", PO Box 5042, Regina, SK, S4P 3M3

Moving to a new house

TIPPS participation is not transferable if you sell your home.  You must cancel your old property from the TIPPS program and enroll your new property on TIPPS.

TIPPS payments are non-refundable.
