The School Division Property Tax Bylaw

The School Division Property Tax Bylaw No. 2016-26 was established to authorize the City to levy and collect taxes on property of the taxable assessment of the Board of Education of the Regina School Division No. 4 and the Board of Education of the Regina Roman Catholic Separate School Division No. 81 of Saskatchewan.

Overview:

  • The City shall collect taxes on assessable properties in the city in accordance with the mill rates set by the Ministry of Education.
  • The City is authorized to impose a tax on all taxable assessments of the Board of Education of the Regina School Division No. 4 and the Board of Education of the Regina Roman Catholic Separate School Division No. 81 of Saskatchewan.
  • The mill rate factors shall not apply to the tax required to be levied pursuant to The Education Act, 1995.
