Saturday, July 1st marks Canada’s 150th birthday and Wascana Centre is going to be filled with tons of exciting ways to celebrate. There will be tons of family friendly activities going on in Wascana Park on Canada Day this year, including: Indigenous activities featuring Syllabic Rock Painting, Buffalo Hide Tanning and Hand Games, as well as Dino Bouncers, The Street Culture Kidz, Story Book Princesses and much more! And it’s all going to be capped off with a spectacular fireworks display after dusk.
Canada Day at Wascana Park offers a wide range of entertainment for everyone this year. Join us for the opening ceremonies, 21 Gun Salute and be apart of our ‘living flag’.
If music is more your thing there are bands playing throughout the day with the big headliner being Marianas Trench. Plus the Molson Canadian Beer Gardens open from noon to 10:30 p.m.
For your comfort, we'll have water, pet stations, a mother-baby kiosk, wash stations and washrooms. Check the site map for locations.
There will be limited parking spaces available on Wasacana. Public parking is available south of Wascana on Hill Avenue. We encourage you to take FREE transit, park and walk or ride a bike to enjoy Canada Day festivities.
