Playground program

The City of Regina’s current focus is replacing wooden playgrounds, as well as playgrounds that we can no longer get replacement parts for located on City property, as funds become available.  The City also works with community partners to install new play equipment through fundraising efforts of the community.

2012 PROJECTS
As part of the playground replacement process, asked for feedback from the community to ensure that we are providing the best play experience possible. The playground surveys are now closed. Thank you to residents that provided their feedback.

Replacement:

  • Lakeridge Park - north playground (5560 Leibel Crescent).

Replacement and Removal:

  • Parkridge Park Playground – adjacent to 7th Avenue and Splash Pad (1243 Rossie Drive).
  • Parkridge Park, Rossie Fitness Centre - the wooden equipment, located adjacent to the basketball court in the middle of the park, has reached its life span and needs to be removed. The Rossie Fitness Centre will be converted back to park space using plant material and salvaged architectural elements, such as pieces of tyndall stone that will add visual interest to the area as well as additional seating.
