City Workers at Your Door
City of Regina employees may visit your home for assessment purposes, to repair or install water meters, conduct building or fire inspections, or for other necessary work.
Prevention
If people come to your door saying they’re from the City, ask for their City of Regina identification BEFORE you let them in. Their photo identity card will show:
- The employee’s name
- The employee’s department
- The employee’s staff number
As well, representatives of all public utilities — gas, electric power, cable TV, and water — also carry photo ID.
Reporting
If the person at the door refuses to produce his or her photo ID or acts in a suspicious manner, consider calling the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 to make a report for informational purposes.
