Federal Government Tax Credit
You must keep the receipts you receive from the Transit Agent when you load or reload your R-Card if you are applying for the Federal Governemt Tax Credit, as proof of the amount you paid for transit passes.
Register Your R-Card
There are many benefits to registering your R-Card - it can be replaced if Transit is notified it has been lost or stolen; it can be cancelled and the remaining balance on the R-Card can be transferred to a new R-Card for a $5.00 fee.
If your R-card is not registered it cannot be replaced. The outstanding balance is therefore lost.
Note: Registering your R-Card is optional.
