Federal Government Tax Credit
You must keep the receipts you receive from the Transit Agent when you load or reload your R-Card if you are applying for the Federal Governemt Tax Credit, as proof of the amount you paid for transit passes. The Transit Department cannot issue receipts for unregistered R-Cards.
Register Your R-Card
Note: Registering your R-Card is optional.
There are many benefits to registering your R-Card - it can be replaced if Transit is notified it has been lost or stolen; it can be cancelled and the remaining balance on the R-Card can be transferred to a new R-Card for a small fee. Tax information for the Federal Tax Credit is available if you lose your receipt from the Transit Agent.
