City's Tree Nursery
The City’s tree nursery, located by the City’s Waste Water Treatment Plant, grows nearly all the trees needed for civic use.
The nursery operates on a 3-5 year production cycle. Trees are planted in the nursery in the spring and fall of each year, followed by an intense maintenance program of watering, cultivation and weed control and pruning.
This work results in an annual harvest of 1,500-1,800 trees that are balled and burlaped before being planted along Regina’s parks and boulevards.
