Height and Spread Siberian Larch can grow 9 to 18 metres in height and may have a crown width of 3 to 7 metres.

Preferred growing conditions Prefers moist, well drained soil; intolerant of shade and heavy, dry, chalky soils.
Form A tall, pyramid-shaped coniferous tree with laterally spreading branches.
Flower/seeds Red or yellow green flowers that turn into brown cones containing seeds.
Leaf Smooth, green needles that turn yellow and fall off in autumn.
Bark/wood Bark is dark brown and scaly.

Pruning Prune to keep shape and remove damaged limbs. Sterilize pruning saws and shears with methanol (gasline anti-freeze) between cuts and between trees.
