Regina Transit Free for Voters
The City of Regina is offering free transit passes for voters for the Provincial Election on Monday, October 26 and the Municipal/School Board Election on Monday, November 9.
“It’s important for residents to exercise their right to vote,” said Kim Onrait, Executive Director of Citizen Services. “Everyone should have an opportunity to get to their polling stations and have their say in choosing leadership. Offering free bus service for both elections is one way the City can help.”
The Election Day pass is valid for both elections and can be downloaded from Regina.ca/transit. Residents can print the pass or simply show it to the bus operator from their phone.
The pass is valid on both conventional and paratransit service.
As part of our dedication to providing a safe transit service, enhanced daily cleaning continues, and face masks or alternative face coverings are mandatory for customers while on Regina Transit.
Passengers can wear non-medical, simple face masks, including alternative coverings like a bandana in two layers wrapped around the mouth and nose. Riders are encouraged to bring their own mask or face covering. If you forgot your mask or do not have one, follow Regina Transit on Facebook or Twitter, or visit us online to find out other locations where masks are available for pick up.
