2023 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship - Let's Bring it Home
The City of Regina is helping to build enthusiasm for the 2023 World Junior Hockey Championship bid! Here's how you can participate and show Hockey Canada and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) how excited we would be to host this premiere sporting event.
Throughout April, Hockey Canada and IIHF will be considering Regina and Saskatoon’s joint bid submission to host the 2023 tournament. We'll be up against several other cities, all looking to claim this year's event.
Together and with partners at Tourism Regina, Economic Development Regina, REAL and Tourism Saskatchewan, we can show why Saskatchewan is the best choice Hockey Canada can make.
Here’s how you can help Bring It Home:
- Post your “Bring It Home” messages on social media. You can use this video if you like: Bring It Home Saskatchewan! and don’t forget to tag @HockeyCanada, @iihfhockey, @tourismregina.
- Be sure to include hashtag #BringitHomeSK
- "Wear Your Green." Let’s all wear green to support Saskatchewan’s Bid to Host the 2023 World Juniors. Share photos of you in your green on social media (don’t forget the tags!).
- "Light it Up Green." If you can light your house or office green each night, please do so! Post those photos of green homes and businesses to social media with #BringitHomeSK.
Let’s showcase our city to the world as an extraordinary place to host world-class events. The City encourages all residents to join us in this bid, as we all “Wear our Green”and "Light it Up Green" over the next few days to Bring It Home!
