9th Avenue North – Lorne Street to Broad Street
Starting on Wednesday, June 24, a project begins along 9th Avenue North between Lorne Street and Broad Street to improve pedestrian ramps, curbs and gutters, as well as resurfacing the roadway for a smoother driving experience.
Work will be completed in two phases starting with the concrete work for phase one, followed by removal and paving of the asphalt road surface for phase two. The City will advise residents of the next phase as the work progresses.
Phase one kicks off at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24 and is expected to be complete in eight weeks. Drivers may want to consider alternate routes as traffic on 9th Avenue North will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Lorne Street and Broad Street. Eastbound traffic will be restricted on 9th Avenue, Westbound traffic will be detoured to 8th Ave.
This project is weather dependent.
