Albert Street North – 9th Avenue North to City Limits
Starting on Monday, June 7, the Street Infrastructure Renewal project progresses to phase two on Albert Street North. This project will improve drainage, extend the lifecycle of the road, as well as enhance driveability.
Phase two will see paving taking place in the northbound lanes between 9th Avenue North and the city limits. Drivers will need to consider alternate routes and consider these closures and restrictions:
- Albert Street North will be restricted to one lane in each direction between 9th Avenue North and the Highway #11 overpass.
- The off ramp to Ring Road westbound will be closed. Drivers will be detoured to Pasqua Street North.
- There will also be no access to Highway #6 or #11 from westbound Ring Road. Traffic will be detoured to Pasqua Street North and Armour Road to access Highways #6 and #11.
Phase two is anticipated to be completed in one week, pending weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
The City of Regina is making progress on resident’s priorities by investing $16.8 million for Street Infrastructure Renewal through the 2021 construction program. This program is primarily focused on improving major roads such as expressways, arterial and collector category roads.
The health and safety of our employees, crews and community are top priority for the City of Regina. We are working closely with contractors and crews to ensure pandemic protocols are in place so work can be carried out in a safe and timely fashion.
