Broad Street North – Elmview Road to Catherwood Crescent
The rehabilitation project along Broad Street North between Elmview Road and Catherwood Crescent is progressing. This project is being completed to improve sections of concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, as well as resurface the roadway for a smoother driving experience.
Phase two starts at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, August 10 with the removal and paving of the asphalt road. Drivers may want to consider alternate routes as Broad Street North will be closed to traffic between Elmview Road and Fairview Road. This section is to be complete in one week.
Paving the final sections of Broad Street North will be completed in September and the City will advise residents as the work progresses. As paving is weather dependent, phase two has been divided into sections to complete as much of the work as possible this year. If weather delays occur, this project will need to be completed in spring 2021.
Detours remain in place for drivers accessing Kensington Greens/Uplands Addition. Watch for signs.
