Celebrate National Public Works Week May 17 - 23
Public works employees provide services like water, sewer, roadways, fleet and waste collection to our community. City employees deliver these important essential services everyday and National Public Works week is a time to recognize this work and remind residents about the value and necessities of public works projects.
“We are committed to delivering quality essential services to residents and businesses,” said Mayor Michael Fougere. “It is important to recognize and show appreciation for our for public works employees who are on the front line delivering these services during the COVID-19 pandemic. We thank them for their dedication to provide Regina residents with essential services during this challenging time.”
Public works provides the management needed for collaboration with all the stakeholders in capital projects, infrastructure solutions and quality of life services.
National Public Works Week has been celebrated since 1960, and the City of Regina is proud to acknowledge and celebrate this week alongside the Canadian Public Works Association and American Public Works Association.
