Courtney Street – Mapleford Gate to Armour Road
On Monday, August 24, the City will begin a project to increase the length of pavement on Courtney Street between Mapleford Gate and Amour Road to help mitigate dust concerns of adjacent neighbourhoods. Work will include removing the existing gravel structure, building a new base structure, then adding a new asphalt surface.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 24, drivers may want to consider alternate routes as Courtney Street will be closed to traffic between Mapleford Gate and Armour Road.
The project is expected to be complete in two weeks, depending on weather or unforeseen circumstances.
As development continues in the area, future paving will be considered. This work is being funded in part from the existing subdivision development.
The health and safety of our employees, crews and community are top priority for the City of Regina. We are working closely with contractors and crews to ensure pandemic protocols are in place so work can be carried out in a safe and timely fashion.
