Dewdney Avenue Corridor Revitalization Upcoming Public Information Session
The Warehouse District is an important destination in Regina’s City Centre, contributing to our community’s vibrancy and economic prosperity. The Dewdney Avenue Corridor Revitalization Project is an upcoming two-year major construction project in the Warehouse District between Albert Street and Broad Street.
The need to replace aging underground infrastructure provides an opportunity to revitalize the surface, including a new road, sidewalks, lighting, patio space and landscaping. These infrastructure improvements will transform this section of Dewdney Avenue into a more aesthetically pleasing and vibrant corridor for the public to enjoy with improved pedestrian and driver safety.
The City is hosting a Public Information Session to showcase the final design for the corridor prior to starting construction this spring:
- Tuesday, March 28, 2023, Open House 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
- The Docks in the Weston Bakeries Building, 1377 Hamilton Street
Construction is scheduled through the 2023 and 2024 construction seasons and will be phased to maintain traffic along Dewdney Avenue to minimize impacts to residents, businesses and commuters. We will also coordinate safe pedestrian and patron accessibility with businesses, retailers and restaurants.
