Dewdney Avenue - Courtney Street to Pinkie Road
Starting on Friday, September 25, work on the Dewdney Avenue Twinning Project continues with paving the westbound lanes of the Dewdney Avenue and Pinkie Road intersection. This project will add a lane to each direction of traffic on Dewdney Avenue, upgrade intersections and improve drainage and streetlighting.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 25, drivers may want to consider alternate routes as traffic on Pinkie Road will be restricted to one driving lane, alternating between north and southbound traffic. A flag person will be onsite to direct traffic and drivers should prepare for delay.
Traffic also remains restricted on Dewdney Avenue between Courtney Street and Pinkie Road. Work is weather dependent and the intersection work is anticipated to be completed three days.
The road construction on Dewdney Avenue will be completed by the end of the year with some work adjacent to the roadway finishing in 2021.
