Dewdney Avenue – McCarthy Boulevard
Starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, drivers may want to consider alternate routes as paving will begin at the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and McCarthy Boulevard. This section is the final portion to be paved and once finished, will complete the rehabilitation project on Dewdney Avenue between McCarthy Boulevard and Aberdeen Street.
Work will include removing the existing asphalt and replacing with a new asphalt surface to improve drivability. This intersection is being completed in two phases to avoid a full closure:
- Phase 1 will pave the westbound lanes across the intersection.
- Once complete, Phase 2 will pave the eastbound lanes.
Traffic will be detoured. Watch for signs. This work is expected to be complete in three days, depending on weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Transit routes may be affected. Riders are encouraged to check with Regina Transit for bus stop and route changes.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience while this important infrastructure work is being completed. Slow down, plan ahead and be safe. Workers and their families are relying on you.
