Fall Sweep Begins in Select Neighbourhoods
Residents living in the Crescents, Cathedral, Lakeview and General Hospital areas are encouraged to watch for signs and visit Regina.ca/sweep to know when their streets will be swept. Parking off-street and sharing driveways with neighbours allows the sweeper to access curbs, parking lanes and catch basins to pick up leaves and reduce neighbourhood drainage issues.
Starting on Wednesday, October 21, City crews will begin the fall sweep program in the identified neighbourhoods between 4 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is expected to be complete by November 4, weather dependent.
While No Parking signs will be placed to advise when streets are being swept, the City will not enforce ticketing or towing to reduce the burden on residents during COVID-19.
Street sweepers create dusty conditions that reduce visibility. Close your windows and walk on alternative sidewalks. Provide the sweeping equipment with lots of room, slow down and be safe. The City of Regina thanks residents for their cooperation in the fall sweep program.
