Grant Road – McDougall Road to Castle Road
A rehabilitation project will begin on Grant Road between McDougall Road and Castle Road to replace aging infrastructure, improve pedestrian safety and drivability. Work will include, catch basin and manhole repairs, drainage improvements, concrete repairs/replacement to sidewalks, curbs and gutters, followed by paving.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, drivers will want to find alternate routes as Grant Road will be closed to traffic for the duration of the project. Detours will be in place, so please watch for signs. This project is expected to be complete in five weeks, depending on weather or unforeseen circumstances.
To help reduce the impact to local drivers, work will be completed in sections, with all phases of work taking place before crews move to the next section. The first section begins on Grant Road at McDougall Road, with the sections progressing eastbound toward Castle Road.
Transit routes may be affected. Riders are encouraged to check with Regina Transit for bus stop and route changes.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience while this important infrastructure work is being completed. Slow down, plan ahead and be safe. Workers and their families are relying on you.
