Harm Reduction Grant Program Now Accepting Applications
Starting today, the City of Regina is accepting grant applications to distribute $385,000 to programs, services and initiatives dedicated to supporting harm reduction in Regina. The maximum amount of funding available is $50,000 under Minor funding and $150,000 under Major funding.
The objective of this initiative is to increase access to support services and reduce harm associated with substance use in Regina.
To be eligible for the grant funding, an organization must be a registered non-profit with a proposed initiative that aligns with one or more of the four priorities in the funding stream: Overdose Prevention, Safe and Accessible Spaces, Safe and Inclusive Communities, and Strengthened Support and Connections.
This grant funding reinforces the City’s commitment to our Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB) Plan. Providing supports that address the needs of our community’s most vulnerable residents creates a safer, healthier and more inclusive community.
The deadline to submit applications is June 2 and funding will be distributed in September. Visit Regina.ca/grants to find more information and apply.
