Help Shape Your City Apply to participate on the Regina Airport Authority
As Regina continues to grow, it’s important that the members of voluntary City Boards and Committees reflect the diversity of our people. We need a variety of residents with ideas, skills, leadership, and energy – including Indigenous, visible minorities, women and people of all abilities – to participate and share their knowledge as a member of the Regina Airport Authority.
The Regina Airport Authority is responsible for the operation of the Regina Airport and the management, development and operation of the Airport Properties in a safe, secure, efficient, cost effective and financially viable manner. The Authority will generate, suggest and participate in economic development projects intended to expand Saskatchewan’s transportation facilities.
If you’re a Canadian Citizen, 18 or older and a full-time resident of Regina, the time is right to get involved. You can apply starting February 1 by visiting Regina.ca/yourvoice.
Representative citizen members provide a varied and valued perspective, reflecting and honouring the diversity of our community and bring experience, skills and expertise that contribute to good governance and informed decision making.
City Council values and seeks to further enhance the inclusive nature of Regina through living the values of respect and trust, celebrating the strength that comes from diversity and inviting participation from all in decision making. Nominees will have been recruited through an inclusive, transparent and equitable process and appointments made by City Council will reflect these objectives.
No person appointed to the Authority can hold a municipal, provincial or federal elected or appointed office, or be employed by any level of government on a full-time basis directly or under contract. The term is for three years and there are three positions available on the Authority. The appointments are effective May 6, 2020.
The deadline for applications is February 27, 2020. Candidates are approved by City Council and will be notified of appointment by March 31, 2020.
