Hillsdale Street – Broad Street to 23rd Avenue
The renewal project along Hillsdale Street between Broad Street and 23rd Avenue is progressing to the final phase which is paving. This Street Infrastructure Renewal project is being completed to improve drainage, extend the lifecycle of the infrastructure and promotes a more active community with safer, connected pathways.
The final phase starts at 7 a.m. on Monday, September 6, with removing the asphalt surface followed by paving of the southbound lanes between Broad Street and 23rd Avenue. Drivers may want to consider alternate routes as southbound traffic on Hillsdale Street will be detoured onto Wascana Parkway and 23rd Avenue for four days.
Once complete, crews will move to the northbound lanes where northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane. Access to businesses will be maintained for much of the project. Watch for signs.
This phase is expected to be completed in 10 days, weather dependent.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience. Slow down and be safe. Workers and their families are relying on you.
