Jingle Bus 2022 Promotion Launches
Ride the City of Regina’s Jingle Bus from Friday, December 9 to Sunday, December 11, and give back to our community. Fares collected enhance the spirit of our community during the holiday season and will be donated to a local non-profit organization.
“This is the seventh year for this promotion, providing residents with an opportunity to ride the bus for a cause,” says Kim Onrait, Executive Director of Citizen Services. “Every bus is a Jingle Bus. Riders can keep their R-cards in their pocket and donate whatever coins they can to the farebox and enjoy the ride.”
In 2022, funds collected will be donated to Growing Young Movers (G.Y.M.), an organization dedicated to enhancing the social, emotional and physical well-being of children and youth. The proceeds from the donations will support youth mentorship programming and 30+ high school mentors.
Residents are encouraged to come out and meet the G.Y.M. staff, who will be coordinating outdoor activities at the City’s Light the Lights event on Tuesday, December 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The City thanks the Jingle Bus program sponsors: Rawlco Radio, Brown Communications Group, First Transit, Pattison Outdoor Advertising and Sleek Signs.
Transit is an excellent way to get people where they need to be in a sustainable way, while increasing support to local businesses for holiday shopping. Visit Regina.ca/transit or use TransitLive.com to find information about transit routes and schedules.
