Jingle Bus gives back to the community
Today, the City of Regina announced that the grand total raised through the annual Jingle Bus promotion was $13,380.
Two local charities, the Salvation Army and Regina Food Bank each received a cheque for half of the donated fares and extra coins collected from transit and paratransit users over the three-day promotion.
“It is heartwarming to see Regina residents demonstrate they care for our community this past weekend,” said Mayor Fougere. “On behalf of our local charities who benefit through this program, I thank transit and paratransit users for stepping up and making a difference.”
Thanks to program sponsors for helping to make this promotion successful: Rawlco Radio, Pattison Outdoor Advertising, Sleek Signs and Brown Communications Group.
The City of Regina’s annual Jingle Bus promotion runs three days each December and encourages transit and paratransit users to donate their fares and extra coins to local charity.
