Lewvan Drive Project Update
The Lewvan Drive project continues to progress as paving begins. In addition concrete work continues and is nearing completion with the move north between 4th Avenue and 1st Avenue.
Starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, crews will begin paving the northbound lanes of Lewvan Drive between 11th Avenue and Dewdney Avenue. Paving is expected to take three days to complete. Two-way traffic will be maintained in the southbound lanes using lane reversals.
Paving will continue between Dewdney Avenue and 4th Avenue starting Monday, August 19 for three days. Two-way traffic will be maintained in the southbound lanes using lane reversals.
Also on Monday, August 19, concrete work will move to the northbound lanes between 4th Avenue and 1st Avenue. This section of work is expected to be complete in two weeks.
To ensure efficient traffic flow and driver safety, lane reversals continue to be in place.
The Lewvan Drive project will see major repairs completed between 11th Avenue and 1st Avenue in both directions, including concrete repairs to the medians, replacement of curbs and gutters, followed by road resurfacing.
