McCarthy Boulevard – Dewdney Avenue to Brunskill Place
The infrastructure improvement project along McCarthy Boulevard continues between Dewdney Avenue and Brunskill Place with bridge work over Wascana Creek. This project will rehabilitate the structures to extend the service life of the bridges.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 26, crews will begin working on the northbound bridge. Drivers may still want to consider alternate routes as traffic on McCarthy Boulevard remains restricted to one lane in both directions.
The multi-use pathway system under the McCarthy bridges continues to be available. In addition, the west sidewalk has been widened to allow better pedestrian and cyclist access for the rest of the construction project and into the future.
Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of October, pending weather and unforeseen circumstances.
The City of Regina thanks residents for their understanding and patience. Slow down, plan ahead and be safe. Workers and their families are relying on you.
