On Demand Service Area Expansion
Regina Transit is expanding the On Demand Transit pilot to offer over 150 more bus stops.
The City of Regina launched the On Demand Transit pilot project on August 31. Service results and valuable feedback from customers showed the opportunity to offer more pick up and drop off options. As of Tuesday, October 13, riders will be able to use the On Demand Transit service at an additional 167 bus stops around the north area of Regina. Key locations being added include the Northgate Mall and Avonhurst Shopping Mall.
The On Demand Transit pilot aims to determine if this service is an effective way to transport more people, use less vehicles, increase ridership and reduce wait times for customers.
The City encourages residents to use the new transit service being tested. On Demand Transit is available Monday to Friday evenings from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Book a ride anytime using the “On Demand Transit: Rider App” or online at Regina.ca/ondemand. Bookings can also be made from 6 to 11 p.m. by calling 306-777-7725 up to two days in advance.
As part of our dedication to providing a safe transit service, enhanced daily cleaning continues, and face masks or alternative face coverings are mandatory for customers while on Regina Transit.
