Plaque unveiling at skate park named in honour of Terry Hincks
The City is hosting a ceremony to officially unveil the plaque renaming a north Regina
skate park in honour of Terry Hincks on Tuesday, October 22 at 4 p.m. at 5255 Rochdale Boulevard.
City Council renamed the skate park to honour the long-time councillor for his
dedication to public service and commitment to youth involvement in sport.
Hincks, who passed away in October 2016, served as City Councillor for residents of
Ward 9 in Regina for 13 years. Hincks grew up in Regina and was actively involved in
sports and in the community. He focused his time on helping seniors and encouraging
youth, especially inner-city youth, to participate in sport. He coached minor league and
high school football for 20 years, and also coached minor hockey and baseball.
