Prince of Wales Drive – Quance Street to East Arens Road
Starting Thursday, August 13, the project along Prince of Wales Drive between Quance Street and East Arens Road will complete the final phase of work. This project is being completed to improve pedestrian ramps, curbs and gutters, repair and resurface the road, as well as install an asphalt multi-use pathway along the east side. Maintenance work on the trees in the median will also occur during this work.
Phase two starts at 7 a.m. on Thursday, August 13 with paving of the asphalt road surface in the northbound lanes. Drivers may want to consider alternate routes as traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Quance Street and East Arens Road.
Once complete, crews will pave the southbound lanes. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Quance Street and East Arens Road. Haughton Road will not be accessible from Prince of Wales Drive during this phase. Watch for signs.
This work is weather dependent and paving is expected to be complete in eight days.
