Regina Residents Invited to Provide Input on Once-in-a-Generation Catalyst Committee Projects
Regina residents are invited to a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the revitalization of Regina’s city centre.
The Catalyst Committee, on behalf of the City of Regina, is exploring how to best align five recreation and cultural-based facility proposals to maximize economic and community benefits.
“The projects proposed represent opportunities to grow local sport, recreation and culture, attract large-scale events to our community, as well as activate our downtown and contribute to Regina’s economic prosperity,” said Councillor Bob Hawkins, co-chair of the Catalyst Committee. “Our goal as a committee is to thoughtfully explore potential synergies between the projects and determine preferences for location and sequencing to achieve the best overall benefit for our city.”
Public information sessions will be held from October 17 to 20, 2022. Each day will have two sessions where project representatives will share information about the catalyst projects. Sessions will be held at the AGT Lounge inside Mosaic Stadium at the following times:

An online public survey will also launch on Be Heard Regina in conjunction with the information sessions starting October 17.
“This is an incredible time for our City,” said Tim Reid, Catalyst Committee Co-Chair & President and CEO of REAL. “These projects are going to be transformational. The Committee takes this work very seriously to ensure everything is staged and prioritized properly to ensure the maximum benefit for everyone in our community.”
The proposed projects being considered by the Catalyst Committee build on and complement other significant investments the City of Regina is making to renew street and underground infrastructure in the city centre. These include plans for Scarth Street, 11th Avenue, and Dewdney and Saskatchewan Drive corridors; projects that will beautify streetscapes, transform transportation networks and improve pedestrian safety.
